La Antigua Guatemala
The orginal Spanish colonial capital, destroyed by the volcanoes that tower over it in the 16th century, and by two separate earthquakes in the 18th century, it's name means "Antique Guatemala." It still retains a strong spanish influence. Today it's a haven for culture and the arts, and home to a vibrant international community.
