This is exactly the kind of trip I want to do with my Ilur, Clarisa. I was there this past May but was not yet fully set up for boom tent camping so I stayed at that lovely campground and stuck to day-sailing even though I got into striking range of Smith Island. Next year I’ll be ready… – your awesome pictures are an inspiration!
It’s a great trip, and easily doable in a small boat with a couple of days of good weather. An Ilur would do very well. If you wait until the first cold snap, the bugs won’t be so bad.
